Newsletter Twenty - November 2011

It’s been far too long since my last newsletter, so I’ll tell you my most exciting news straight away. I have two new books jusrt published! They are books three and four in the Heart series, and I’m thrilled to see them out there in the bookshops. I simply love the jackets, so I hope you do too. Book three is called Search for a Star, and follows Ellie as she tries to track down an elusive author who has written a best selling book that has been turned into a fantastically popular film. Do you think there might be an element of wishful thinking from me there? The other one is called Best Friends Rock, and I so loved writing it, not that I don’t enjoy writing all my titles!  It’s about how genuine friendships can survive through thick and thin, and how sometimes some of the best friendships can come when you least expect them.

I’ve been visiting as many bookshops as I can, signing copies of all my books, so look out for them. I flew to Scotland to sign in Glasgow Waterstones in Sauchiehall Street, and have been into Octavia’s Bookshop in Cirencester as well as Cirencester Waterstones. Stroud Children’s Bookshop has had a visit, and I was at Foyles in Charing Cross Road, London last week. Next week I’m going to Taunton Waterstones, and more shops will be added as soon as I can get around to it. If you can’t find the books on the shelves just ask. Most bookshops will order them in for you.

Free Signed Posters Offer! To celebrate all four of the Heart magazine series I have some free posters to give away. Just email me your name and address (find my email address on the contact me section of this website) and I’ll send you three signed posters. One for you, one for a friend, and one for your school. Make sure you ask a parent or guardian’s permission before you do this.  First come first served. Your email address will not be kept after the posters have been sent out, but for extra security you may want to ask your teacher if you can have the posters sent to the school address instead of home. Teachers and librarians are also welcome to apply. Once the posters are gone they’re gone!

That’s it for now, as I have to wrestle with updating my website. Hopefully the next newsletter will appear a bit sooner than the last one. Good luck with winning a poster!
